In lieu of attending a retirement function on my behalf, please consider making a donation towards research and education for the Canadian Mental Health Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. I chose the Canadian Mental Health Association to help increase awareness of the importance of Mental Health and in memory of my son, Ben. Click on Fast Facts about Mental Health to learn more. I chose the Heart and Stroke Foundation in memory of my father, Thomas. My father passed away in 1955 due to heart failure. In 1956 the world's first heart valve transplant was performed. Research can save lives. Click on Research for a link to Heart and Stroke .
Donations can be made directly online through Canada Helps.org by simply clicking on the picture of the apple blossoms on the right of this blog and following the instructions. My giving page can also be found by going to the Canada Helps website directly (you may see more information here on the Canada Helps Foundation) https://www.canadahelps.org/en/pages/september-ruby-studios/
The giving page is set up so that donations will not be posted or made public, but I will be able to see the donations and any messages you might want to send. If you would like to donate and/or send me a message but are not comfortable doing it online please make your donation directly to one of these organizations and consider sending me an email at septemberrubystudios@gmail.com or a note.
Please see my retirement message under the apple blossoms on

It is my plan to continue in retirement to support these organizations by selling my watercolour art and donating the profit to them. I am in the process of creating a website through which my art can be sold. My goal is to have it online by early Fall 2011. Stay posted on the progress through September Ruby Studios.
