Cayuga Lake is the longest of New York's eleven glacial Finger Lakes,
and is the second largest in surface area and second largest in volume.
There are three lighthouses on Cayuga Lake.
Myers Point Light is located in Myers Park in Lansing,
ten miles north of Ithaca, New York.
This lighthouse was built primarily by volunteers in 1998
with over 3000 bricks,
each individually cut and donated. A functional strobe light,
with a range of 7-10 miles, was added in 2002.
